| Robinvale Plain is predominantly a narrow gorge confined by the cliffs along the Murray River - which is entrenched within older up-faulted Cainozoic sedimentary rocks. Alluvium deposits from the Cainozoic period gave rise to the red brown earths, cracking clays and texture contrast soils (Vertosols, Chromosols and Sodosols) this supports Riverine Grassy Forest and Riverine Grassy Chenopod Woodland ecosystems. | ![]() |
