Victoria's Alpine Resorts
| Victoria's six Alpine Resorts lie predominantly between 120 kilometres and 380 kilometres to the northeast of Melbourne. The focus of the resorts is on snow-based recreation activities, in particular downhill and cross-country skiing. The Alpine Resorts are popular in the non-winter seasons for recreation activities such as bush walking and horse-riding. The Tourism Victoria website contains information on visiting Victoria's Alpine Resorts. Each of the resorts is bordered by a national park which provides important recreation opportunities for resort based visitors. These national parks are managed by Parks Victoria. | ![]() Alpine Resorts 2020 Strategy |

The Department of Sustainability and Environment is responsible for advising the Minister on alpine issues and supporting and assisting the Resort Management Boards on matters affecting all or multiple resorts.
