Photo: Receipt for cream delivered to the Colac Butter Factory
A receipt for cream delivered to the Colac Butter Factory by the Cororooke Creamery
in 1899. Before World War I, many butter factories had outlying creameries
which separated milk then transported cream to the factory.
By the 1910s many farmers owned their own hand separators and
delivered cream directly to the factory.
