A settlers' home in the Mallee, 1920s. This house was probably built of "fibrolite" (asbestos cement sheeting). Notes on the original photograph read: "Although surrounding country is well cleared, this property has no sign of a garden. Shortage of water would be a contributing factor. Termites are a problem in this country. Note pet lamb."
