The Centenary Parade in the Arena,
Royal Melbourne Show, 1972. This parade was to commemorate one hundred years
of the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria and also to mark the Centenary
of the Department of Agriculture.

dried fruit display of produce and recipes, with its twining vines, was
a regular exhibit at the Royal Melbourne Show.

were a novelty when they were first introduced early in the century.

A
display of pork products, Royal Melbourne Show, 1949. Pigs are promoted
as 'the salvage units of agriculture' because they eat byproducts from other
agricultural production, such as butter making. The pigs' heads in the display
are decorated as if for war.

the first person on the moon, this Show exhibit adopted a 'lunar' theme.
